Becket Primary School

At Becket Primary School, our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a dedicated group of parents and carers who work together to enrich the school experience for all our children—both in and out of the classroom.

The PTA organises a variety of fun-filled events throughout the year, including exciting school discos and our much-loved summer fayre. These events not only bring our school community together but also raise valuable funds that directly benefit our pupils. Thanks to your support, we’re able to enhance these events year after year and contribute towards memorable experiences like our magical Christmas theatre trips.

We’re always looking for new volunteers! Whether you’d like to attend meetings, help out at events, or simply lend a hand when you can, we’d love to have you involved.

If you're interested, please speak to our PTA Chair, Victoria Simpkin, or contact Mrs Swaby, Mrs Dean, or Mrs Walker.

Together, we can make a big difference!

Lottery

We have launched our school lottery. This is in association with other PTA organisations nationwide so the grand prize is an amazing £25,000! There is a cash prize every week for 1 winner in our school community – the more tickets we sell, the higher the prize fund! Click here to purchase your tickets.

Charity Documents

Some of the roles in the PTA are mandatory under the Charity Registration Terms and Conditions.  These are as follows:-

If you are interested in any of the roles, you can nominate yourself at the AGM which is held at the start of each new academic year.

Our current PTA Chair is Miss V Simpkin, our Treasurer is Miss J Burley.  Other PTA members can be identified by the purple PTA high-vis vests (sometimes spotted on the playground). If you are interested in helping with any of the events, please contact one of them or ask at the school office.

This is what the PTA raised and spent for the academic year 2024-25:-

The PTA is proud to support the work of The Seedsowing Network, who are a UK registered charity established who support school projects in Kenya. Their vision is to extend the support to as many children as possible.  If you would like to learn more about them, visit their website here or follow this link to donate
